About the Journal
Journal of Turkish Organology (JTO) (e-ISSN: 3023-7890) is a nonprofit, open-access, peer-reviewed scientific platform where research on the features, classification, historical development, and etymology of musical instruments is published. JTO operates with a double-blind peer review system. As the first and only platform in the field of organology, first regionally and then globally, JTO aims to play a significant role in the development of this academic discipline.
JTO encourages the development of researchers in the field of organology, particularly in areas such as scientific writing, the use of technological tools, musical instrument making, design, and revision craftsmanship. The publication months are March and September. The publication languages of JTO are Turkish and English.
Scope
The scope of the Journal of Turkish Organology (JTO) includes academic research topics in the field of organology. In addition, it covers interdisciplinary topics related to organology. JTO publishes articles in the form of research papers, review articles, book reviews, and interviews. The scope of JTO includes the characteristics of musical instruments, the historical development and etymology of musical instruments, the construction and design of musical instruments, revisions and improvements in musical instruments, as well as interdisciplinary studies on musical instruments.

Invitation to Editorial Board
We kindly request music researchers who will actively work as Editors/Section Editors in the Turkish Organology Journal (undertaking responsibilities such as promoting the journal, inviting authors, and meticulously performing editorial duties on articles) and those who will actively work as Editorial Board Members (promoting the journal, inviting authors, and providing suggestions for the journal's publishing policies) to send their CVs to our editorial email (turkorganolojidergisieditor@gmail.com), provided they have at least a PhD or Proficiency in Art degree.
